Longboat Realty represents a discerning group of clients, serving
them as a Single Agent on an exclusive basis. We prefer to work as
a Single Agent because it allows us to fully represent either the
Buyer OR the Seller. By choosing to serve only one party in a transaction,
we avoid conflicts and can provide the added duties of Loyalty, Confidentiality,
Obedience and Full Disclosure you deserve.
Understanding the most common forms of real estate relationships helps
you appreciate the value we add. While “Single
Agents” fully represent our clients, “Transaction
Brokers” cannot. The more common Transaction Broker form of
representation allows brokers to earn commissions from both the Buyer
and Seller sides of a transaction. They then have equal responsibility
to both, restricting their level of Disclosure and excluding the duties
of Obedience, Confidentiality and Loyalty to each. It’s the
subtle difference between being a customer or a client.
